Warranty Details
When choosing a shingle for your roof, it’s important to choose a brand that is reputable from a manufacturer that stands behind their products. That’s why Dun-Rite Roofing only uses quality shingles from the top manufacturers.
Each manufacturer offers a different warranty on their products. We suggest you compare before making your final choice. The warranty information provided below is for an architectural/ laminate shingle. (Atlas – Pinnacle Pristine, Tamko – Heritage, GAF – Timberline HDZ, Owens Corning – Duration, Malarkey – Highlander).
Warranty for a 3-tab shingle will likely be less than what is offered for architectural/laminate. Warranty for a Class 4 shingle is likely going to be better than what is offered below.

Choosing a Reputable Contractor
When comparing quotes from different roofing contractors, be sure you are comparing apples to apples. You want to be sure you are hiring a reputable company that will still be around 10 years from now. It’s also important to compare the warranty offered by the contractor. Dun-Rite Roofing offers a Ten year warranty on all workmanship. And you can be certain we aren’t going anywhere. We’ve been here since 1992 and our family plans to continue the legacy long after Jim and Candie retire.
The Wrong Contractor Could Void Your Warranty
While each manufacturer offers a warranty on their products, there are stipulations to validate those warranties. The roof must be installed by a qualified, licensed contractor. We often hear horror stories from customers who used a no name individual in order to save a few bucks, only to find out the roof wasn’t installed properly and now the roofer has skipped town and doesn’t return their calls. While all of those issues are bad enough, it’s usually a sign that the manufacturers warranty is probably going to be void as well. Protect yourself and your investment by choosing a qualified, licensed contractor.
Most of the major manufacturers require us to use their underlayment, their ice & water barrier, their starter shingles, their hip & ridge, etc… other contractors sometimes save a few bucks by using an off-brand. You need to know this can void the manufacturers warranty. Be sure the products they are quoting you on are the correct products needed for the warranty.
Testimonials
Dun-Rite roofing does consistently high quality work, and is one of the very few companies I recommend to friends. I’m extremely picky about craftsmanship, and I’ve used them for roofing needs for 25 years. How many other companies in their business can say they have retained the same high quality job site employees for 20+ years. They treat both customers and the employees right…..while doing the work for an honest and fair price.

We had a great experience with Dun-Rite. Their crew did a exceptional job, they were safe, courtesy, professional and experts in their field. We were able to communicate anything that needed to be addressed directly with the onsite crew and they took care of it immediately. The warranty on the shingles from Atlas and the workmanship were our primary concerns for picking the right contractor and product for our home.
